Australia won the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The favourites Australia thrashed New Zealand in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 final to win their fifth world title at Melbourne cricket ground.

Aussie bowlers bowled out their trans tasman-rivals New Zealand for 183 runs. James Faulkner and and Mitchell Johnson both took three wickets, while the player of the match Mitchell Starc took 2 wickets.

The Skipper Michael Clarke, who was playing his last ODI, scored 74 runs off 72 balls.
