Tareen steps down from party position after disqualification verdict


ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) secretary general Jahangir Tareen on Saturday surrendered from his gathering office after the Supreme Court excluded him for being untrustworthy.

Tareen sent his acquiescence to party director Imran Khan, saying he trusted that the last will acknowledge his renunciation.

He said he and the gathering boss confronted strict responsibility, and developed triumphant and included he was precluded specialized grounds and was glad for his political battle and the gathering.

The PTI boss' administration and kinship is an advantage and will remain so in future, he wrote in his renunciation letter.


He additionally said it is improper to hold party position in the wake of being announced precluded by the summit court.

On Friday, a seat of the Supreme Court headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, reported its much-anticipated decision, dismissing request to exclude Imran Khan and pronounced PTI's key gathering pioneer Jahangir Tareen precluded on the petitions documented by PML-N pioneer Hanif Abbasi.

Abbasi had documented the appeal to looking for exclusion of PTI boss and gathering's secretary general Tareen for not unveiling their advantages and responsibility for seaward organizations.

Following the decision, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) de-informed Tareen as an individual from the National Assembly from NA-154 Lodhran.
